Members can now enjoy $9.90 Hereford Prime Rump Steaks Monday through Saturday from 6pm to 9pm. This month, you can also enjoy Cajun Blackened Perch - grilled and served with chips and salad - or one of our delicious curries - served with rice and a pappadum - for the same low price. Membership cards are essential; if you are not a member you may join on the spot.

Our Hereford Prime Range 

Here's a quick rundown on the steaks available:

  • Hereford Prime Eye Fillet - this is the tenderest cut of meat you will ever eat. If you like your steak to cut like butter, check out the Specials Board.
  • Hereford Prime Porterhouse - this juicy cut has the flavour to satisfy the connoisseur. The steak-lover's favourite.
  • Hereford Prime Scotch Fillet - the classic marbled steak equally popular with men and women.
  • Hereford Prime Fillet Mignon - the tender Eye Fillet is wrapped in bacon and can be served with mushroom sauce or any other of your choice.
  • Hereford Prime Rump - we offer this staple in two sizes to cater for different appetites and times of the day. This lean cut is a favourite of the diet conscious and is a great source of iron!

The Hereford Prime Char Grill is open Monday to Saturday:

  • Lunch from 12pm - 2pm
  • Dinner from 6pm - 9pm.

Other Information

  • The RUC employs 5 qualified chefs to provide our award wining bistro style meals with an emphasis on originality and quality using the freshest ingredients. The team is headed up by Fraser Rowntree who has had extensive experience in the UK, all over Australia and in Canberra.  Try one of our famous RUC Burgers, Salt & Pepper Squid or a Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad.

  • As well as our regular bistro menu the RUC has a regularly updated specials board with a series of "Quick Picks" for working lunches. Meals including curries, homemade pies, fresh salads and gourmet sandwiches, rolls and wraps.

  • The bistro is open from Monday to Saturday serving lunch from 12pm - 2pm and dinner from 6pm - 9pm. An after hours snack menu is also available for late night snacks.

  • Pizzas and snacks are available at other times.
